Looking for a program to harvest e-mail addresses from your hard disk? Then look no further. It is highly accurate, fast threaded email extractor utility to search and extract email or link from any type of file (Html, Word, Excel, executables, ZIP, and so on).  Designed to search files for e-mail addresses, the program utilizes advanced search algorithms to extract bulk e-mails from anywhere on your hard drive. The results are fantastic.  User can save the results in text or excel file and the output file can then be easily imported in any complex database tool as desire. It presents results in link, base, domain separately and supports link compare, URL Email extraction depth, duplicate link/base removal, list management, domain check list, filters, etc.

It is intended for extracting email addresses or url, phone, fax numbers from files and folders located on your PC and collecting them in plain-text files. The program lets you find all email addresses you have on your PC, extract only those of them you need, and place them to a plain-text file, which can be used by any email program. Extract Emails option allows you to filter emails automatically while searching. Just define a powerful filter, which lets you specify the list of allowed domains, file types and masks, and the program will extract only those emails, url, phone, fax which match the criteria of the filter. The user interface of the program is very easy to learn, excellent documentation is included. Try our Internet and email tools. Find and extract emails, create mailing lists for an email program or mass mailer with Extract Emails.

This unique extractor can also search inside zip/archive files for email or specific type of link and extract them.

New Search Dialog

How To:

General Tab

File/Folder: Here you enter the filename or folder name. To enter file name, use "Browse File" button and for folder name use "Browse Folder" button. You can also manually type the file/folder name in this box.
Note: you can not enter multiple files in this box. This box supports only one file at a time. If you have multiple files and want to process all of them same time, copy those files into a new folder using Windows Explorer and select that new folder in this box.

Recurse Subfolders: Check this box, if you want to perform search in all sub folders also.
What happens - if you select a file "c:\index.htm" in "File/Folder" text box and check this "Recurse Subfolder" option?
Answer - The program will find all "index.htm" files in all subfolders of "C:\" and process them.

Mask: Enter file extensions separated by semicolon (;)
To search all files, type '*.*'
To search only htm/html files, type '*.htm;*.html'

Search Type:
Select what type of link you want to extract. http://, ftp://, news: are self-explanatory.

However you may like to know the difference between "mailto:" and "mailto: + @ " search type. Well, "mailto:" works perfectly for html files but if you want to list all of your customer emails from non-html (text, mailbox) files, you need to select "mailto: + @ " search type, because non-html files do not have necessarily "mailto:" tag. "mailto: + @ " takes more time to process than only "mailto:" tag.

If you want to extract other type of link, select "Custom Link" and type the link text in right-side box.
If you want to find files matching a text, select "Custom Text" and type the search text in right-side box.

Extract Depth:
Here you specify how link will be extracted. For example: an http:// link like "http://www.xyz.com/product/anim/web/index.htm" found. If you set Extract Depth
0 = All level returned
1 = http://www.abc.com/
2 = http://www.abc.com/product/
3 = http://www.abc.com/product/anim/
and so on.
This option is very useful to make a database of of unique URLs

Search Inside Archive Files: One of the best feature of "Extract Link" is the ability to perform search inside archive files. If you set this option, "Extract Link" will search archive files and if a link is found - the matching file (not entire archive) will be decompressed to temp folder (c:\windows\temp\ExtractLink\) and will auto-delete this temp file after finish link extraction.

The supported archive formats are: ace, arc, arj, bh, cab, gzip, jar, lha, rar, tar, zip, zoo.

Option Tab

Remove Duplicate Email Results: By default it is checked to auto-remove all duplicate email addresses or other results during search process.

Remove Duplicate Base: Check this option if you do not want to get multiple links from same domain.

Remove Bookmark Part: This option will auto-delete bookmark part form the links. For example: "#Features" part will be deleted from link "http://www.xyz.com/product/anim#Features".

Remove Param Part: This option will auto-delete param part form the links. For example: "?ycat=23467034" part will be deleted from link "http://www.xyz.com/py/Browse.html?ycat=23467034".

Check Domain List: If you check this option, the domain of every extracted email address or other link will be compared with global domain list and if domain found then the link will be included in result list. Good for accurate result.

Search First Part Only: will search only first occurrences of link in a file, ignoring other possible occurrences. Good for quick search.

Exclude Tab

Lets say, you want to search entire c:\ drive with all (*.*) files for http: links or email addresses or custom text - whatever. But there is a big folder in c:\ and you want to avoid searching in this folder or in c:\ there are lots of .mp3 music files and you don't want to search them. So, Exclude option is here to serve this exclusion purpose. Just enter file extensions or folder paths or file paths in this exclude box and they will not be searched.

Note:
Add all entries one per line like following and do not use semicolon (;) at the end of file extension.
*.cab
*.jar
*.mp3
c:\windows
c:\music
c:\data\customer.mdb
etc...
